Babies Everywhere

Good Morning DearHearts,™

I have lived in several homes, some with large backyards and some with a minimal amount of land.  Over the years as I have documented in my writing I have had the experience of seeing butterflies emerge and had a cardinal family bring their babies to my backyard.  However, I have never experienced the birth of Spring and new life in the way that is occurring right now.

It is totally unexpected given the fact I now live on a golf course.  However, there is a small “body of water” that is between the back of my screened in patio and the fairway.  This seemingly insignificant ditch has produced the appearance of more life in varying forms than could have ever been imagined.

On any given day there are mallards, Muscovy ducks, Egyptian geese, wood storks, cranes, egrets, anhingas, limpkins, spoonbills, herons-blue or white to be spotted just feet from my home. The array of wildlife in a condominium community has surprised me in the most delightful way.

This week has brought another sweet surprise – baby birds. Suddenly there are goslings, baby ducks and limpkin chicks that have been hatched to provide a level of cuteness usually only found on YouTube videos.

The rebirth of life is a miraculous affirmation of the continuity of what is Real.

But wait, isn’t all of this simply an illusion?  The birds, water and certainly the babies are simply not real according to ACIM, they are projections of what is in my mind. Whatever I see is a reflection of my inner thoughts that I have judged good or bad, when in fact they are only true or false.  Because I have chosen to experience idea of Life, which is a part of the Holy Spirit, who’s only interest is Life Everlasting, I have chosen to witness the resurrection of life by “seeing” new life. I have chosen to see a wildlife preserve instead of a golf course.

There is a phrase in the Bible that indicates what is above (Heaven) can be the same as what is below (earth).  Spirit is generous in providing beauty and joy to us.  The only caveat is whether or not we choose to focus on the evidence being provided that we are truly loved and have been presented with the most glorious gifts so we can have that experience.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away means that they will not continue to exist as separate states’”[1]

This very moment is a heavenly choice.
