Going and Coming
Good Morning DearHearts,
December 21st marked the shortest day and longest night of 2013. The Winter Solstice is the welcoming of winter, although it has already been visiting much of the country for the past few weeks. It is also a sure sign that the end of another calendar year is upon us.
As I mentioned in my last blog this is always a time for reflection and perhaps inner searching as we realize another 365 days have come and gone. It becomes a series of memory flashbacks or overview of one’s life.
What moments in 2013 will we hold in our hearts forever? Which moments did we allow to steal away our peace and replace peace with fear-full thoughts? Ahh, but the good news is….. all of that is past.
The beauty and love that we experience each day is written on our hearts and minds. Each loving moment or Holy Instant increases our awareness of the real truth in this world. It leaves us desiring more of that unconditional moment when two hearts/ souls merged into an encounter with the conscious Mind. How lovely are those remembrances! Or maybe we should call them remem-embraces.
At the end of any time cycle we will also notice those beings that have “left” our physical world. I am not necessarily referring to a physical “death”, but merely the realization that we are no longer in contact or connected to certain ones. This is a natural occurrence in any life and sometimes even more for those on a spiritual path.
As we grow and expand our consciousness we seek to align with those who are also on a similar path of awareness. Therefore the friends and relatives who populated our world at one time may no longer be the ones to whom we gravitate. They are the ones who are “going”.
For every space we clear on our path there comes a new companion to walk with us. Our guides, teachers and new friends now have a space to occupy as they emerge in our existence.
Today is December 31st, a/k/a New Years Eve.
It is a monumental moment of Going and as the clock strikes or the “ball drops” in a mere instant there is a Coming. The arrival of 2014 will appear with fanfare and anticipation. There is a wave of Hope that comes with the dawning of a New Year. For a few moments we can suspend our desire to attack and in that space we welcome possibilities of hope and peace.
“The world becomes a place of hope, because its only purpose is to be a place where hope of happiness can be fulfilled. And no one stands outside this hope, because the world has been united in belief the purpose of the world is one which all must share, if hope be more than just a dream.”

As I close this missive, there is another “Going” to be mentioned. Ken Wapnick, one of the ACIM pioneers “left” his earth home last Friday so he could GO Home.
And Remember,
There IS Great Love and Hope Here For Us Now!!!
In Love, Light and Peace,
Janet Weissman
